What Are Pork Chops in the Air Fryer?

Air frying is the best way to get the most delicious pork chops easily with minimal cleanup. The hot air circulates the pork chops, evenly cooking them on all sides. No need to heat up the whole house with the oven while making this easy pork recipe. Plus, the air fryer allows the outside of the pork chops to form a beautiful golden brown crust without the need for deep frying.

Air Fryer Pork Chops Ingredients

  • Boneless Pork Chops
  • Olive oil or your favorite neutral cooking oil. We use avocado oil.
  • Spices: Garlic powder, Onion powder, Mustard powder, Paprika, Black pepper, Dried sage, Kosher Salt
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

How to Make Boneless Pork Chops in Air Fryer

PRO TIP: Remember, cooking times and temperatures may vary based on your specific air fryer model and the thickness of the pork chops, so it’s always a good idea to keep an eye on them while they cook.

  • First, mix all the spices in a small bowl and put them aside.
  • Now, lay the pork chops on a plate and drizzle them with a little olive oil.
  • Sprinkle the spice mix over both sides of the pork chops.
  • Next, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and place the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • After 10 minutes, flip them over and air fry for another 5-10 minutes or until cooked through. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the pork chops and the specific air fryer model. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  • Finally, serve the delicious chops with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley.

Girl Carnivore Expert Recipe Tips

  • Check for Doneness. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches at least 145 degrees F.
  • Dry Pork Chops. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the outside of your easy-to-make Air Fryer Pork Chops super crispy.
  • Thickness of the Chops. Thin pork chops take a shorter cooking time than thick pork chops in the air fryer, so keep that in mind.
  • Prep the Spices. Combining all the spices in a small bowl beforehand makes it easier to apply them evenly to the pork chops later. Make sure to mix them well to distribute the flavors.
  • Season the Pork Chops. Drizzle the pork chops with olive oil to help the spices stick to the meat better. Rub the spice mix over both sides of the pork chops, ensuring they are evenly coated for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer. Preheating the air fryer to 400 degrees F ensures that the pork chops cook evenly and become crispy on the outside.
  • Use Boneless Pork Chops. The recipe calls for boneless pork chops, which tend to cook faster and more evenly in the air fryer. If you want bone-in chops, try our Cast Iron Pork Chops or smoked pork chops for amazing, juicy bites.

What to Serve With These Juicy Pork Chops

These air fryer pork chops can be served with various side dishes like BBQ Glazed Smoked Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Domino Potatoes, or a light salad.

To jazz up the pork chops, add some homemade bbq sauce, chimichurri or mustard cream sauce to change up the menu.

Leftovers & Reheating

Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months if stored within 3-4 days but they will not have the same texture when thawed as fresh pork chops.

To reheat, you have two options:

Air Fryer Method:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place the pork chops in the air fryer basket.
  3. Heat for 3-5 minutes or until warmed through, flipping halfway.

Microwave Method:

  1. Place individual pork chops on a microwave-safe plate.
  2. Heat on medium power in 30-second intervals until warmed.
