  • 1 hatch chile
  • 1 lbs ground turkey 85% lean if you can find it
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter grated
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tsbp mayo
  • 1 tsp Dehydrated Onion Flakes
  • ½ tsp Granulated Garlic
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper

For the Burgers

  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Buns
  • Chipotle Aioli
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Red onion
  • Tomato
  • Pickles

Instructions 

Roast the peppers:

  • Place the peppers over a hot grill or burner and char them on all sides.

  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the minced roasted pepper.
    1 hatch chile
  • Gently combine with your hands and form into 4 equal patties, pressing a divot into the center of each with your thumb.
  • Refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Cook the turkey burgers

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the avocado oil and swirl to coat the pan.
  • Let the oil preheat until shimmering and just starting to smoke.
  • Carefully add the turkey burgers.
  • Cook 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Flip cook another 4 to 6 minutes until 165° F with a digital meat thermometer
  • Top with cheese last minute, and place lid on skillet to melt.
