Loaded Grilled Hot Dogs with Barbecue Sauce and Smoked Guacamole

Who loves a grilled hot dog? We all do!

These loaded dogs are slathered in a smoked guacamole, bacon, bean mix and drizzled with barbecue sauce. The way a messy dog should be.

Ingredients

– All beef hot dogs – avocados – jalapeno – lime – Salt – Red pepper flakes – Black pepper – Barbecue sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Set up your charcoal for indirect heat. Clean and oil the grates. When ready to grill, add wood chips to the coals.

Grill the avocados over the cooler side of the grill with the lid closed to absorb the smoke. Rotate the avocado a few times, as needed to cook evenly.

Remove from the grill. Meanwhile, add the hot dogs to the cooler side of the grill and allow them to cook with the lid closed.

While the hot dogs cook, remove the skin from the avocado and mash in a mixing bowl, adding the minced jalapeno, juice from one lime, salt, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Season with additional salt as needed.

Rotate the dogs at the end of the cook time to get perfect char marks. Toast the buns, if desired. Whisk the bacon and the beans in a bowl together with minced red onion.
