For Tater Tots
1bagtater totsfrozen
1/2largeoniondiced
2cupsColby Cheeseshredded
For the Burger Patties
1 1/4lbsground beef
1tbspWorcestershire Sauce
1tbspburger seasoning
1tspsalt
1/2 tspblack pepperfreshly ground
4slicesBaby Swiss
For Mushrooms
1tbspbutter
8ozbaby portobello mushroom capswiped clean
For Assembly
4Wheat BunsSplit
mayonnaiseto taste
4green lettuce leaves
Instructions
For Tater Tots
Preheat oven according to package directions and arrange tater tots on baking sheet. Bake according to directions for crispy tots.
In last 5 minutes, add diced onions.
After 5 minutes, sprinkle shredded Colby over tots and return to oven for 30-60 seconds until cheese is melted.
Toss to combine, covering tots with cheese. Keep warm.
For the Burger Patties
Preheat grill over medium heat.
Mix beef with Worcestershire sauce, burger seasoning, salt and pepper.
Form into 4 patties. Using your thumb, make an indent in center of each patty.
Grill burgers until desired doneness.
Place slice of Swiss over patties. When cheese begins to melt, remove patties from grill.
For the Mushrooms
Place small skillet on side grill burner or grill top. Melt butter in skillet.
Add mushroom caps and sauté until liquid has evaporated and they have browned all over.
To Assemble
Toast inside of buns on grill. Smear bun bottoms with mayonnaise, if desired.
Arrange lettuce leaves over. Top with burger patties, mushrooms, and cheesy tater tots. Finish with top bun.
Stick toothpick through tops to secure, if desired. Serve immediately.
