Twice Smoked Brisket BBQ Beans

Ingredients - bacon - onion  - poblano peppers - garlic  - brown sugar - Brisket Rub - honey barbecue sauce - beer or water - Worcestershire sauce

1. In a large cast-iron skillet heated over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy.

2. Remove from the skillet and drain on a paper towel.

3. In the same skillet, with the rendered bacon fat, add the onion and saute about 5 minutes until soft.

4. Add in the chopped poblano and cook 5 minutes longer. 5. Add in the minced garlic and cook 30 seconds longer.

6. Mix in the salt, brown sugar, and brisket rub.
