The Spud Muffin Burger

The Spud Muffin Burger – a combo of Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and tater tots rolled in Colby cheese atop an all-beef burger! 

It’s almost all the food groups, in one bite.


- Tater tots - Onion - Colby Cheese - Ground beef - Worcestershire Sauce - Burger seasoning - Butter - Portobello mushroom - Wheat Buns - Mayonnaise 


For Tater Tots

Preheat oven according to package directions and arrange tater tots on baking sheet. Bake according to directions for crispy tots.

After 5 minutes, sprinkle shredded Colby over tots and return to oven for 30-60 seconds until cheese is melted.

Mix beef with Worcestershire sauce, burger seasoning, salt and pepper.

For the Burger Patties

Form into 4 patties. Using your thumb, make an indent in center of each patty.

Place small skillet on side grill burner or grill top. Melt butter in skillet.

For the Mushrooms

Add mushroom caps and sauté until liquid has evaporated and they have browned all over.

Toast inside of buns on grill. Smear bun bottoms with mayonnaise, if desired.
