These air fryer sweet potato fries use just a quick toss in oil with a little salt before air frying to transform the potatoes' natural sugars into the perfect balance of crispy, salty, and sweet.
Cut long ways again. Turning them into fries is like strips.
In a large mixing bowl place the sweet potatoes, then add your avocado oil and salt. Toss around to make sure everything is coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees F.
Transfer to the air fryer basket. Doing a single layer. (may need to do in batches)
Cook at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes Flipping halfway through.
Remove from the air fryer basket and serve.

Play around with various seasonings to get your desired result. Some great options are garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, black pepper, or whatever other seasonings you like! You could even go sweet with a little brown sugar and cinnamon. Just keep an eye on the brown sugar as it can burn faster than regular spices.
If you want to get super fancy, you can soak your sweet potato slices in cold water before air frying. This helps the skin to crisp up even more! Just make sure to pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture before cooking.
If you want thicker fries, leave the slices at 1/2 inch thick, like sweet potato wedges. They may take longer to cook, but you can leave them thicker if that's what you prefer. Otherwise, cut them into thin strips!
