This air fryer recipe for veal parmesan is amazing! The veal is perfectly crispy and tender and coated in delicious marinara with melted cheese! And because it's in the air fryer, so much easier than traditional fried parmesan!
¼cupgrated parmesan cheesefresh parmesan cheese, not the shake kind
Girl Carnivore Over Easy or Italian Seasoning
Marinara sauce
Mozzarella cheese
To serve:
Zoodlesor spaghetti
Marinara sauce
Basil
Parsley
Instructions
Prep the veal cutlets:
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F
Pat the veal dry and pound into 1/4 “ thin cutlets. Cut into manageable portions if needed
Whisk the eggs gently.
In a shallow dish, mix together the salt, pepper, panko (or pork panko), grated parmesan cheese, and Girl Carnivore Over Easy spice blend.
Dip the cutlets into the egg and shake off any excess.
Air fry the veal:
Spray the wire cooking rack with non-stock cooking spray.
Then place the veal cutlet in the wire basket in a single layer.
Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, until the panko is a beautiful golden brown.
Carefully, spoon marinara over each of the cutlets, then top with mozzarella and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until the cheese has melted and browned.
Serve:
Serve the air fryer veal parmesan immediately over cooked zoodles tossed in marinara and garnish with freshly chopped basil or parsley.
