Sloppy Joes with Fried Onions

Need a new jacked up version of a classic sloppy joe?

Try this Sloppy Joe with Fried Onions!


- canola oil - red bell pepper - green bell pepper - red onion - ground beef - ground pork - garlic - cayenne pepper - paprika - ground cumin


Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the onions and peppers and saute for 4 minutes, or until tender.

Add the pork and beef. Cook until browned. Stir in the garlic, cayenne, paprika, cumin, dry mustard and cool for 1 minute longer.

Stir in the chili sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and jalapenos. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes, until sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper as needed.

Heat the canola oil in a large pot with deep sides. Whisk the egg and milk together in a bowl.
