Spicy Smoked Pork Ribs

brown sugar salt paprika cayenne cumin pork back ribs apple juice barbecue sauce, optional


Clean the ribs by removing the membrane on the back side.

Step 1

Combine dry ingredients and rub thoroughly over the ribs. Allow to sit at least 1 hour.

Step 2

Set up your smoker for indirect heat, 225 degrees F.

Step 3

Pour apple juice in a drip pan under the grate and arrange the ribs on top. Smoke 3 hours.

Step 4

Remove ribs and wrap tightly in foil. Smoke another 1 to 2 hours spritzing with apple juice every so often.

Step 5

For the last hour of cooking, baste with BBQ sauce. Char ribs over hot grill to finish them off.

Step 6

Serve pork ribs fresh and hot from the grill!
