How to Make Buttermilk Brined Grilled Chicken Wings
The best game day snack!
3 lbs Chicken Wings 4 tbsp Paprika 1 tbsp Cumin 1 tbsp Salt 1 tsp Chili Powder ½ tsp Black Pepper ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes 4 c Buttermilk 4 - 6 tbsp Hot Sauce 2 tbsp Pickle Juice 1 tbsp Lime Juice
Brine the chicken in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours in a mixture of spices, buttermilk, hot sauce, pickle juice, and lime juice.
1. Brine the Chicken!
Remove the chicken from the brine and season it with more of the seasoning mix.
Add the wings to a hot grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes with the lid closed. Then, flip and cook another 7 to 10.
Remove the wings from the grill, add them to a bowl, and top them with additional seasoning and hot sauce. Toss to coat.
4. More Seasoning!
Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing... and plenty of napkins!
